New White Noise release

Two updates, one for iOS and one for Android. They don't do the same things this time, so here they are side by side.

On iOS

Links get a preview, if you want one. It's off until you turn it on in Appearance, because loading a preview means your phone fetches it from the linked site, and that site sees your IP address.

GIFs play. They used to arrive as stills.

Signing in walks you through it now: what the app is checking, what to do when a step needs you, and a Try Again if it can't refresh your account.

Report and Block are in the message menu. A report to White Noise carries the key you're reporting and the reason. Never the message.

On Android

Documents and videos go up to 512 MB now, and you can watch them go: bytes sent on the way out, a progress ring with Cancel and Retry on the way in.

Messages can be translated on your phone. Tap Translate in the message menu, or turn it on for a whole chat. It works through the Offline Translator app, so nothing goes to a translation server.

Then make it yours. Pick what a swipe does, pin a chat to your home screen, give each person their own notification sound.

On both

Catching up on a busy group after a day away went from minutes to seconds, and it no longer leaves old messages unreadable. A message you sent no longer shows as failed when everyone else already has it.
